Archipelago Ventures wins Environmental Finance Impact Investment of the Year: Pollution and Waste Management

News

We are thrilled to announce that Archipelago Ventures has won the Environmental Finance Impact Investment of the Year: Pollution and Waste Management!

This award recognises our support of Matoha, a manufacturer of AI-powered material identification scanners.

Over the past year, Matoha’s pioneering fabric scanning devices have identified and tracked over 8 million garments globally, saving over 2,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent.

We are proud to have been recognised for our work in backing deep-tech startups like Matoha that are making a real difference to the world’s waste and pollution problems.

We invested in Matoha through our Circular Plastics Accelerator Fund, backed by WRAP.

Special thanks to our Advisory Board Claudia Amos, Christopher Knowles, Mark Goldsmith, Kevin Vyse FIMMM MIS4CE, Paul Foulkes-Arellano, and Sophie Rouzeau (Dumas), PhD.

Congratulations also to our anchor investor Builders Vision who won the Environmental Finance Award for Family Office of the Year. Well done James Lindsay, Peter Bryant, Chris Wu and team!
