Sorted empowers MRFs to maximise recovery and recycling rates with AI that audits, assists and automates waste sorting. It offers three products: photo-based audits, laser-guided picking, and lightweight robotic sorting. All are retrofittable, low CapEx, and built around the operational realities of MRFs.

The Waste Audit Studio automatically identifies and classifies every waste item from a photo, generating reports and enabling the analysis of results across customers, sites and individual bins, giving consistent data over time.

Sorted Light is an affordable, flexible device that scans a conveyor belt in real-time, highlighting recyclable materials, and generating granular, actionable insights to boost recovery rates and optimise MRF/PRF operations and output.

And the SortBot is a CapEx free picking robot that combines an AI-powered robotic arm and camera to detect and recover recyclable materials from a conveyor belt in seconds. The proprietary AI (Computer Vision) model and robot design ensure precise sorting while delivering actionable insights to optimise an MRF’s operations.

Sorted was selected for the prestigious EarthScale programme in June 2025. EarthScale is an Imperial College London-led initiative to support the most promising climate tech startups in the UK with a 12-month programme to help them to scale, navigate manufacturing and raise Series A funding.
